My Personal Experience

Visiting Plaza Cafe & Grill was a delight for the senses. The ambiance was casual yet lively, filled with laughter and the sizzle of burgers on the grill. I decided to sample their famous Patty Melt, served on toasted sourdough, and it was nothing short of extraordinary. The combination of grilled onions, Swiss, and American cheese melted in my mouth, a beautiful balance of savory and hearty flavors.

For something lighter, I chose the Santa Fe Chicken Salad. The vibrant colors of the chopped lettuce, black beans, and sweet corn paired beautifully with the creamy lime cilantro dressing, making it a refreshing complement to my meal. Each bite transported me closer to a sunny, southwestern paradise.

Whether you are in the mood for classic comfort food or looking for healthier options, Plaza Cafe & Grill excels at pleasing palates. The extensive menu, accommodating staff, and inviting atmosphere make it a must-visit culinary gem in Sacramento!

This was my first time here at Plaza, Café and Grill and after what I just ordered, I don't think it will be my last time here. This café is located near the school that my grant kids attend and today I decided to give them a try. I chose Their sushi rolls, the veggie roll, which includes avocado and cucumber, and I also chose their spicy. tuna roll. They have a variation of items on their menu breakfast and lunch items included. They also have featured specials. They are definitely a great staple piece over here in this Business center. The ambience is very welcoming. Gives you a feel of a home-cooked meal in a restaurant environment. The owners are a husband and wife team and they are very nice. I'm very particular about sushi and so for this place to meet, no actually exceed my expectations is very top-tier. Please come check them out if you're in this area you will not be disappointed this is cute if you wanna meet up for coffee, especially if it's like a first date or you're just meeting up with friends.

This mom and pop shop has been opened since 1985 and I can see how they've managed to stay open for so long. It's located in a business plaza which is highly convenient for those who work in the area. The restaurant is run by a very sweet, hardworking Mongolian couple who've managed to wow my gf and I the last two times we've been here. The first time we came, we ordered the 3 item bento box special with beef teriyaki, tonkatsu, and eggrolls. It comes with rice and salad too. We also ordered the (I think this was the name) orange blossom roll. Absolutely everything was delicious and we were pleasantly surprised! The tonkatsu was juicy and tender unlike most other places I've tried before. The beef teriyaki was also tender, cooked to perfection. The sauces they had for both the teriyaki and the tonkatsu was soooo gooood. The eggrolls were also pretty good, nice crunch to it, but I don't remember it wow-ing me. The salad was fresh, my only nitpick is that I wish they used thousand island dressing instead of ranch. Now the orange blossom roll was a blessing because they gave us really thick cuts of salmon on top. I mean they were not stingy with it at all. From the salmon itself to the avocado and the masago, everything came together so well. And you wouldn't think that sushi from a random business plaza joint would be good but trust me, this was delicious. Definitely going back to try other rolls. Now for our second visit, we decided to try their breakfast and were also pleasantly surprised. My gf and I both ordered the stacked pancakes that comes with pancakes, eggs, your choice of ham, bacon, or sausage (we went with sausage), and their home potatoes. Please believe me when I tell you this was one of the most satisfying breakfasts I've had in my entire life. You can just tell that everything was made with love, cheesy as it sounds, it's true. The pancakes had that perfect, fluffy consistency, and was a good amount of buttery. Their sausage patties were delicious and a good portion size to go with their home potatoes, which were equally yummy. They're soft and fluffy with the potato skin still on, yum. I had also ordered a coffee which wasn't anything too special, but it's coffee from a mom and pop so I won't discount them for that. All in all, this seems like a pretty solid place to have either breakfast or lunch at. It's a shame they're not open for dinner cuz I wouldn't mind grabbing a bite to eat here after 4pm, but definitely worth it to try most items they have on their menu. They seem like they can do it all.

12/12/2024 - I'm a breakfast person. I've been to many restaurants in Sacramento to eat breakfast, and my favorite meal is to always include french toast. Plaza Café and Grill ranks at the top 3 locations I order french toast, it's delicious. I order off the breakfast menu (until 11:30am) FRENCH TOAST ($10.50) It includes eggs, choice of meat, home potatoes & 2 thick slices of yummy French toast. I add small coffee ($2). You order at the counter & it's brought to your table. No yelling out your name or number to get up from your comfortable seat to obtain your hot delicious food! I choose to put a tip in the counter-top jar, because it seems like a small family business and I appreciate their pleasant attitude and consistent delicious food each time I visit. Full disclosure: I always order the same thing!it's that good To help you find this gem of a restaurant, it's on Northgate Blvd in a business park exactly across from the big location of NAPA AUTO & TRUCK PARTS.

So close to my work, will def go here again when I forget to bring food. Portions were large, food was good. I got: Breakfast burrito, $8- huge, had eggs, bell peppers, cheese, onions, rice. Overall yum, filling and worth $8. Breakfast food available until 1130! Bento ($13) with teriyaki salmon, spicy chicken. Spicy chk was mild (aka I can tolerate it and Im a spice wimp). Salmon had good flavor and texture. Came w rice, salad, miso soup. Overall great value! Overall pleased w this place! Lots of selections too.
